Now, here is a quick cloud-by-cloud breakdown of the AI-rich features which have been announced so far. Einstein Bots are currently in pilot and expected to be generally available in summer 2018. Then there is Einstein Bots, where customers can create chatbots powered by historical service and CRM data to respond to common customer inquiries and deploy it through Service Cloud.įor example, a bot could be set up to track order status or request a refund and trigger the relevant process automatically. Einstein Prediction Builder is currently in pilot and expected to arrive in summer 2018. Then at Dreamforce 2017 the company announced two new capabilities to make it easier for admins to build AI-powered apps and chatbots within Salesforce without writing a line of code, called MyEinstein.įirst there is Einstein Prediction Builder, which allows customers to create custom AI models around predictions for any field that is currently held in Salesforce simply by identifying the field they want to predict and selecting the data they want to use with a simple point and click interface.įor example, someone in the finance team could create an app that leverages the data in Salesforce and a pre-packaged machine learning model to predict which customers will file their invoices late. Now, over one year on, customers are starting to see Salesforce roll these features out. Salesforce promised that it would be infusing all of its popular software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms with intelligent Einstein features when the brand was announced at Dreamforce in 2016. ![]() Salesforce is also opening up Einstein capabilities for App Cloud users and developers to bring AI features, such as predictive or suggested actions, into new or existing apps.īall said back at the time of launch: "Part of the vision and reality today is that Einstein is baked deep into the customer success platform, so taking and configuring and extending existing apps with Einstein fields and partners building on the customer success platform means Einstein will make all apps smarter, including those on the exchange." Since we know that the other angle is 90 degrees, this means that the two angles at the base must both be equal to 45 degrees (because 90 + 45 + 45 is 180). Here is a right-angled isosceles triangle:Īs before the two legs of an isosceles triangle are the same length and the two angles at the base are equal. Right-angled trianglesĪ right-angled triangle has one angle of exactly 90 degrees. Since the three angles of any triangle always add up to 180 degrees, it follows that each angle in an equilateral triangle must be equal to 60 degrees.Īnd equilateral triangle is a regular polygon. ![]() I commend to you my “An algebraic approach to Koopman classical mechanics”, in Annals of Physics 2020, on arXiv, and highlighted by Ann.Phys. I suppose you must know that there is a criticism of this kind of account of the relationship between fourier analysis and the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle [which is rolled out quite often on YouTube, four examples being: 3Blue1Brown, Minute Physics, Sixty Symbols, The Science Asylum,, that they do not include anything about statistics/probability and that they do not substantively enough address the question of measurement incompatibility/noncommutativity.Ī somewhat better account, with statistics and probability front and center (but not yet, as far as I know, done nicely on YouTube, which is a challenge I’d like to see someone take up,) can be given if we work with Koopman’s Hilbert space formalism for classical mechanics. ![]() It’s great that people keep doing the wave/Fourier analysis thing, because each time there’s a different vibe and eventually people will find ways to do it better, making slightly more contact between signal analysis done classically and done QMically. No worries if you decide I haven’t closed the case and don’t reply: most people seem to think that I haven’t and I certainly think there are gaps, so the question now may be more whether someone else will tell a fuller story than I am capable of. Mathematically, without any mention of quantum or classical, the fourier transform is a transformation from a basis of improper eigenfunctions of the operator “multiply by x” to a basis of improper eigenfunctions of the operator “differentiate with respect to x”, and for those operators we have the Heisenberg algebra =1 and its representations the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle Hilbert spaces and all that, for that done more properly than a physicist such as I am needs.] If that’s only classical, then noncommutativity is classical. It’s quite sad that Koopman constructed a Hilbert space formalism for classical mechanics in 1931 and it’s only in the last 20 years that a small group of people have started to try to really run with it. ![]() There are tradeoffs, unsurprisingly, but the tradeoffs are different from those we encounter when we use de Broglie-Bohm-type approaches and I think we can learn something from this different perspective even if we don’t use it. ![]() ![]() We can even construct an isomorphism between a random field and the quantized electromagnetic field, instead of working with quantization (and its quasi-inverse, the correspondence principle,) if we get our heads around Koopman’s formalism. I suppose most people must think “the whole wave/Fourier analysis discussion is purely classical”, so it will be an uphill battle to persuade anyone otherwise, but it can be much more. ![]() ![]() With more responsibilities and less time for adventure, old friendships have started to fade - at least until Jesse's hand gets stuck in a creepy gauntlet that belongs to an ancient underwater temple. System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/amework/Versions/A/Resources/Content/Fonts/Proxima Nova Bold.ttfĪgain I have no clue why it's there, but it's both on my MacBookPro and on my freshly installed MacPro. ![]() I have also found ANOTHER copy of Proxima Nova: I can only speculate why this is the case but I'm pretty sure that's the reason why my extra copy of Proxima Nova activated by Suitcase Fusion (or even FontBook for that matter) might clash and cause the troubles I've been describing. There are also a bunch of other fonts there, which are not seen by Font Book, Suitcase Fusion or ANY other App other than FinalCutProX. ![]() It's a bit like the arguing that no one needs FinalCutProX, because there's iMovie, which can also edit.įinalCutProX does have its own fonts INSIDE it's application bundle(!):įinal Cut Pro (right-click and Open Bundle) /Contents/Frameworks/amework/Versions/A/Resources/Fonts/Proxima Nova.ttc If you only dabble in typography or use standard fonts and maybe a few extra, something basic like Fontbook might do the trick, it does not an my company. Suitcase Fusion also auto-activates fonts so that not all fonts need to be loaded at all times, which saves RAM and resources on the machine. I have likely found the culprit and it is not Suitcase Fusion nor is it a bad font it's FinalCutProX itself!Ī little explainer why something Suitcase Futon is necessary: We have the need to properly archive and share a great number of fonts we get from clients and/or license for them across machines (some of which use FinalCutProX, some ADOBE or other creative software packages), keep the up to date and organise them by client, job and version. I am utterly confused now.Ī little update on my Proxima-Nova-font-front. I used Suitcase Fusion's "clean font cache" feature and rebooted the machine - Proxima Nova ist still available in FinalCutProX. FinalCutProX must have an internal font cache somewhere and there is a corrupted version of Proxima in there - hence my problems. I created a new Library, but still "Proxima Nova" was available to me in FinalCutProX,even though it was deactivated. I restarted FinalCutProX, but it could still see "Proxima Nova" and yes: I did not look at rendered Titles but could still edit them in a font that theoretically was not installed anymore. FinalCutProX still sees "Proxima Nova" even though EVERY OTHER APP on the machine does not see it anymore. To rule out "Suitcase", I moved Proxima out of Suitcase to the desktop, so wether Suitcase nor Font Book sees the font. ![]() ![]() So If "Proxima Nova" is activated out of Suitcase, Font Book does not see it. Suitcase Fusion can activate fonts out of it's own repository when needed, and can synch fonts across machines - which is what we use it for here at the facility. I have FontBook installed of course, but it only "sees" fonts that are installed at one of the three default locations (~user/Library/fonts, /library/fonts and /system/library/fonts. ![]() ![]() Check out our dining section for ideas in your area!
